We want to create the world’s most prestigious teaching and research Fellowship. It will attract global leaders from industry and academia to the University of Limerick (UL). AWS-ISE Global Fellows will spend between three weeks and six months inspiring our students, working with our researchers, and engaging with ISE’s growing coalition of industry partners.
The Fellowship is for everyone interested in the future of technology. We are seeking to support a diversity of voice, of thought, of background, of impact, and of action. You might be a practising software engineer or a policy maker, a world-renowned professor, someone starting their academic career, an active researcher or an activist. You might be a lawyer or someone without a degree who loves code and wants to work on the IT of the future. You might be an author, an artist, or an entrepreneur.
You might be none of these things, and that’s fine too. You don’t need to be a technologist, but you do need to care about technology and innovation and be willing to contribute to the creation of a medium and long term network of collaboration. You need to commit to a culture of excellence and to be responsible for delivering on the promise of this prestigious Fellowship.
Our key prerequisites are passion for your topic and a willingness to work with others, particularly ISE’s faculty and students, and our new R@ISE research programme. How you work with us, and who specifically you work with, is defined by your proposal. You express the value you wish to create with us, and we will work with you to make your project happen. The Limerick senior men’s hurlers are the current All Ireland Hurling Champions after winning their third title in a row against Kilkenny.
